Executive Summary
The Director of Exceptional Student Education on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board amend the purchase order between Community Rehab Associates, Inc. and Hernando County School Board to provide services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and vision services to students with disabilities as designated on the students’ Individual Education Plan (IEPs). If the position is unfilled, and the position is necessary to deliver services to students with disabilities as designated on the students IEP, the contracted services are used. The reason the amendment is needed is to increase the purchase order amount to $100,000.00 and change the funding source to the ARP IDEA K-12 grant.

If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District. Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
