Dennis Alfonso, School Board Attorney read the instructions for this item. Diane Liptak  
came forward to speak on this item. Ms. Liptak questioned pages 62-70 where it lists the  
costs for each program. She asked if this is the amount students have to have up-front to  
start the program. Mr. Stratton explained that they are set fees that are either self pay  
or students can apply for financial aid. Mr. Stratton also clarified that this is for Adult  
Education and there are no costs to high school students who attend our career &  
technical education classes. Sophia Watson, Director of Adult Ed came forward to  
answer questions addressed by Ms. Liptak. She explained the different costs associated  
with the Adult Ed programs.

This item was pulled by Jimmy Lodato for discussion. Ralph Leath, Director of  
Transportation came forward to answer questions addressed by the Board. Mr. Leath  
explained this item. Board Member Lodato expressed his concern about the number of  
mechanics we are lacking. Mr. Lodato asked the Board to come up with how they can  
overcome the low pay salary. Mr. Alfonso explained that he can speak with the  
Superintendent or maybe with labor counsel to set up a workshop. Mr. Stratton stated  
that he, Mr. Leath and Mr. Alfonso can speak and work together to see what can be  
done.

SCHOOL BOARD COMMENTS  
Mrs. Hatch thanked Mr. Gray for his comments and suggestions during citizen's input. She also stated  
that the Back to School Bash was a success. Mr. Lodato spoke of a letter that citizens may have  
received about inappropriate books. Mrs. Prescott also thanked Mr. Gray for his service and  
mentioned different veteran's day programs at our schools. She thanked Mr. Benson for going to the  
County Commission meeting and standing up for the School Board. Mrs. Prescott stated that she also  
attended the Back to School Bash. Mr. Stratton made comments on the Back to School Bash, new  
teacher orientation, job openings, teachers in hallways and FNS funding. Mr. Guadagnino recognized  
Tressa Watson and Gregg Laskoski who were in the audience. He also thanked staff for the work done  
and citizens who attended tonight's meeting.
