Informational Item on the Updated Agreement with Equal Opportunity Schools (EOS)

Executive Summary
The Director of Secondary Programs, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to review the updated agreement with Equal Opportunity Schools (EOS).
Previously, Equal Opportunity Schools (EOS) was presented and approved by the Board on July 26, 2022 (item #23-0789). When the Title IV program office reviewed the Hernando County Grant application, which included the original EOS Agreement, they requested an updated agreement with a specification of planned professional development visits in place of proposed costs should a visit be requested. With the updated agreement, we also provided program data and research. The Title IV grant was approved with the amended agreement, which is $500.00 less than the original proposed cost. We are presenting the updated agreement for your information as we proceed with payment for services rendered.

If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District. Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
