Executive Summary
The Director of Food and Nutrition Services, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approval for the renewal of Bid No. 22-962-34 RN: Food & Supply Purchasing Services, awarded to HPS, LLC., a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), for the purchase of food, food related products and supplies through their contracted vendor for our school cafeterias district-wide. In 2022, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued for a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for food and food related products and supplies. The contract was established and awarded to HPS, LLC. This contract will allow the Hernando County School District to take advantage of the GPO's competitive pricing. The current contracted vendor through HPS, LLC is Gordon Food Services, Inc. This contract will also include the annual membership fee to HPS, LLC of $3,440.00. The period for this bid is 7/1/2026 through 6/30/2027.
