body

Executive Summary

The Chief Financial Officer, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) has stated that governmental entities should publish an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report serves as the School District’s official annual report which includes an introductory section, a financial section, statistical section, and compliance section.  This report provides useful information for taxpayers, bondholders, and rating agencies, as to the financial condition of the School District.

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report also includes the audit report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025.

Financial Impact

The cost for the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award Program is $910.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
