Executive Summary

The Director of Safe Schools, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve the out of state travel for Brett Scroggins to attend the Axis Communications Immerse 2026 Conference scheduled for November 2-5, 2026, in San Diego, California, for an estimated amount of $1,500.00.  This is the 5th Annual Immerse conference for Axis Customers in the Americas to gain insight to learn about emerging trends and to optimize our technology. Axis Communications registration includes lodging; ride share to and from airport.

If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
