Executive Summary
The Director of Human Resources, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board requests approval of the following compensation adjustments:
1. Compensation Adjustments for Professional/Technical/Supervisory Employees
Step Increase and Market Adjustment: Approval for a step increase and a market adjustment of 2% for Professional/Technical/Supervisory employees.
Step will only apply to Professional/Technical/Supervisory employees in this classification who earned a year of experience with Hernando School District for the 2023-2024 school year and who are employed as of the Board approval date.
*Together, the step increase and 2% market adjustment equate to a 3% compensation adjustment to the Professional/Technical/Supervisory salary matrix.
Additionally, to align Professional/Technical/Supervisory job titles with their corresponding requirements, responsibilities, and necessary experience, attached are both a marked-up and a clean copy of the job descriptions associated with the compensation adjustments. This is the next step in an ongoing review of job descriptions and corresponding salary levels. The Professional/Technical/Supervisory Placement Salary Schedule with new hourly rates is attached.
2. Market Adjustment for Administrative Employees
Approval for a 3% market adjustment for School Based Administrative and District Based Administrative employees.
3. Performance Pay for School Based Administrative Employees
Performance Pay: Implementation of performance pay for School Based Administrative employees for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Those School Based Administrators who received a Highly Effective rating will receive a $100 performance pay increase and those who received an Effective rating...
