Executive Summary
The Supervisor of College and Career Programs, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve the purchase of additional simulator equipment and components from SimCraft to enhance instructional opportunities within Hernando County School District's technology programs.

The SimCraft Racing Simulators are being used as a hands-on platform to introduce students to real-world cybersecurity and information technology concepts. Students have developed a custom program to network the simulators, gaining valuable experience in system integration, server management, and network configuration. This additional purchase will allow students to further expand these technical skills while also building and configuring a simulator, creating deeper opportunities to explore cybersecurity, troubleshooting, hardware installation, and information technology career pathways through authentic, project-based learning experiences.

The purchase supports Career and Technical Education (CTE) program expansion and aligns with workforce demands in high-skill, high-wage technology fields. Funding for this initiative will be provided through approved grant funding sources. No General Fund dollars will be used for this purchase.
