Executive Summary
The Director of Maintenance, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve the amendment to the contract bid no. 22-360-22 with Marks Flooring, Inc. for Carpet & VCT: Installation, Removal & Repairs to increase the spending on this contract from $50,000.00 to $150,000.00. This change is needed to match the Maintenance budget of $150,000.00 for installation of vinyl composition tile and miscellaneous other flooring. No other change to the original contract has been made. An increase in the spending will allow work to be completed before the end of the fiscal year at an anticipated lower cost.

Financial Impact
The cost for this agenda item is $150,000.00, see attached budget sheet. The cost for the previous fiscal year was $30,469.95.
If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District. Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
