Executive Summary
The Director of Facilities & Construction, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve the amendment to the agreement with Skanska USA Building, Inc., for construction goods and services for the Suncoast Technical Educational Center and authorize the purchase of construction goods & services for $10,236,610.00.
On January 11, 2022, Agenda Item 22-0287, approved the Construction Manager Agreement with Skanska USA Building, Inc. and authorized the purchase of pre-construction services in the amount of $78,500.00
Article 5.1.1 of the approved contract indicates compensation for pre-construction phase services shall not exceed $78,500.00. This amendment guarantees the contract sum for the construction phase services shall not exceed $10,236,610.00. Consequently, the total compensation to Skanska USA Building, Inc. for construction management services shall not exceed $10,315,110.00.
