Approve the Job Description Updates for Students and Families in Transition Staff

Executive Summary
The Director of Federal Programs, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve the updated job descriptions for the Coordinator of Students and Families in Transition, Students and Families in Transition Specialist, and the Students and Families in Transition Unaccompanied Youth Specialist. The positions of Coordinator and Specialist reflect updates to the requirements and the job duties; the position of Students and Families in Transition Specialist is a change from Students and Families in Transition Case Worker, and is the only position that has a financial impact. This is a move from a non-classroom instructional position to a non-instructional, confidential position. The position, previously approved as a case worker through the Title I, Part A and Title IX-McKinney Vento programs, is pending approval from the Title IX-McKinney Vento program office at the Florida Department of Education. This position is better aligned to the changing needs of the population served by the Students and Families in Transition staff.
