Approve the agreement with Chambers Law Firm, P.A. for the exclusive naming right to the beach volleyball courts located at F.W. Springstead High School in the amount of $20,000.00.

Executive Summary

The District Athletic Director, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve the naming rights agreement between the Hernando County School Board (HCSB) and Chambers Law Firm, P.A. granting the firm exclusive naming rights to the beach volleyball courts located at Frank W. Springstead High School. In exchange for a $20,000 financial contribution and associated commitments, the district agrees to designate the facility as the “Chambers Law Firm, P.A. Beach Volleyball Facility at Springstead High School” for 5 years. This agreement supports enhanced community partnerships while generating non-tax dollars for the support of our athletic programs and facilities.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
