Approve the Job Description for Supervisor of Instructional Technology

Executive Summary
The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve the job description for Supervisor of Instructional Technology.
Hernando County School District intends to purchase 1:1 devices for each student. In an effort to support teachers and students with the most effective use of instructional technology, the Board previously approved three instructional technology specialists to support schools. The Supervisor of Instructional Technology will be responsible for hiring and supervising the instructional technology specialists and assist in supporting schools, teacher, and students with their technology integration needs. The Supervisor will work closely with the curriculum department and the technology department to ensure that all initiatives are aligned with curriculum initiatives and aligned with technology information services security and requirements. This position will be funded by millage dollars.
