Executive Summary

The Director of Food and Nutrition Services, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approval for the renewal of the piggybacking of Pinellas County Schools, Bid #21-380-238: Milk, Dairy & Juice Products, awarded to M&B Products, for an estimated annual expenditure of $1,000,000.00. Milk and dairy products will be delivered by M&B to the school sites bi-weekly. These are products that are used to meet component requirements within the National School Lunch, School Breakfast, After School Snack and After School Nutrition (Supper) Programs and each site. HCSB Bid #22-380-13 PB RN has been assigned for internal tracking purposes.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
