Title and Board Action Requested

title

Approval to amend the contract with WANRACK for fiber services.

body

Executive Summary

The director of Technology and information Services, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve a corrected contract for fiber services from WANRACK. The sole purpose of this correction is to clarify that the services provided under the agreement have always been and continue to be dark fiber services, rather than lit fiber services, to accurately reflect the services currently being delivered and to ensure compliance with E-Rate program requirements and documentation.

This correction is administrative in nature and does not alter the scope of work, pricing, contract term, service locations, responsibilities of either party, or any other provisions of the original agreement. The amendment simply aligns the contractual language with the actual services being provided and supports accurate E-Rate reporting and compliance.

Financial Impact

See attached budget sheet.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
