Approve the purchase of contracted services from Kagan Publishing and Professional Development for a total of 9 workshop sessions, to include Cooperative Learning (1-day for Brooksville Elementary, JD Floyd Elementary, DS Parrott Middle, Deltona Elementary, and Moton Elementary) and Brain Friendly Teaching (1-day for Brooksville Elementary, JD Floyd Elementary, DS Parrott Middle, and Deltona Elementary), along with course materials. These will be purchased using available funds from the Comprehensive Support Grant for a total of $77,222.00. This purchase will be contingent upon the approval of the Comprehensive Support Grant.

Executive Summary
The Director of Federal Programs on behalf of the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, hereby requests the Board approve the purchase of contracted services from Kagan Publishing and Professional Development for a total of 9 workshop sessions, to include Cooperative Learning (1-day for Brooksville Elementary, JD Floyd Elementary, DS Parrott Middle, Deltona Elementary, and Moton Elementary) and Brain Friendly Teaching (1-day for Brooksville Elementary, JD Floyd Elementary, DS Parrott Middle, and Deltona Elementary), along with course materials. These will be purchased using available funds from the Comprehensive Support Grant for a total of $77,222.00. The Comprehensive Support Grant has been made available through the Bureau of School Improvement. This purchase will be contingent upon the approval of the Comprehensive Support Grant.
