Executive Summary

The Principal, Mrs. Leechele Booker, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve a field trip to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for Hernando High School Girl’s Wrestling team to compete at the 2025 Women of Ironman Wrestling tournament.  The Ironman Wrestling tournament is an invitation-only event that will allow our girls to compete against the best girls in the country and potentially receive exposure to college coaches.  The team would be traveling to Ohio on December 12, 2025, and returning to Brooksville, Florida on December 15, 2025.

If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
