Presentation and Information on the Purchase of eduCLIMBER

body
Executive Summary
The Director of Research and Accountability, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to review the presentation and information on the purchase of eduCLIMBER from Renaissance Learning Inc. eduCLIMBER is an interactive student data system that integrates all data points into one platform in order to evaluate and monitor data at the student, school, and district level. This system should increase student achievement and wellbeing by evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of both Tier 1 practices and Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. eduCLIMBER will replace the district's current data analysis system, PowerSchool with an annual savings of $25,016.08.

The year one subtotal of $186,950.00 reflects the onboarding and professional development for the 2022-23 school year and the total cost for the 2023-24 school year.

While moving forward with the item, eduCLIMBER was purchased from Illuminate Education by Renaissance Learning, Inc. Documents with either Illuminate or Renaissance are valid during this transition. Since Renaissance is the same platform as the K-2 FAST state testing, this acquisition will further increase alignment with our data. Renaissance Learning, Inc. is a sole source provider.
