Executive Summary

The Supervisor of College and Career Programs on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to recognize graduating seniors for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to community service throughout their high school careers. These students have demonstrated outstanding character, academic perseverance, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact both within their schools and across the Hernando County community.

In recognition of their achievements, select students have been awarded scholarships through the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, CareerSource Pasco Hernando, and the Kiwanis Club of Brooksville. These scholarships reflect the strong partnerships between Hernando County School District and local organizations committed to supporting student success and workforce readiness.

This recognition highlights the accomplishments of our students and celebrates the collaborative efforts of our community partners in investing in the future of Hernando County.

Financial Impact

See attached budget sheet.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
