Executive Summary

The Director of Secondary Programs, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve the award of Bid No. 23-785-40:  Classroom Instructional Materials, Supplies & Equipment (Catalog Discount) to multiple vendors listed on the attached tabulation sheet This tabulation establishes a contract with a pool of responsive, responsible vendors who have met all terms, conditions, and specifications of the solicitation, offering percentage discounts off products from their published catalogs and/or websites. Schools/sites will have the flexibility to obtain quotes from any of the awarded vendors, allowing for the greatest value and to meet the needs of the district. Purchases will be made on an as needed basis and will be charged to various school approved budgets and/or internal accounts.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
