Executive Summary
The Supervisor of College and Career Programs, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, requests the Board to recognize students who have participated and earned top placements at the state and national levels through state-approved Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and industry-driven, program-specific student organizations.
These students have demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical skill development, professionalism, and dedication through competitions and events aligned to Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Their accomplishments reflect the high level of instruction, hands-on learning, and workforce preparation taking place across Hernando County schools.
Participation in CTSOs and industry-specific organizations provides students with opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, strengthen employability skills, and compete alongside peers from across Florida and the nation. The District proudly celebrates these students, their teachers, advisors, and community partners for their commitment to excellence and for representing Hernando County School District with distinction.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District. Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
