Executive Summary

Ray Pinder, Director of Human Resources and Matthew Goldrick, Supervisor of Professional Standards, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve the additional purchase from PowerSchool.  Our current onboarding program from PowerSchool (Hire Enterprise) will no longer be supported soon.  The newest PowerSchool onboarding program (Applicant Tracking System) will be easier for applicants to use and will have greater reporting capabilities.  In addition PowerSchool offers an improvement for the evaluation process (United Talent Perform).  As the program will be a part of the PowerSchool system and connected to our hiring platform, the addition of new hires will be automated.  UT Perform reports allow us to return to chronological reporting that will improve mid year and end of year evaluation meetings. This item, for the amount requested, is presented to the board because this amount, when added to other purchases made from PowerSchool this year, will exceed the maximum amount that the Superintendent can approve.

Financial Impact

The cost for this agenda item is $14,546.00, see attached budget sheet.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
