Executive Summary

The Director of Facilities & Construction, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve the renewal of bid # 23-968-42 RN: General Construction Services, awarded to multiple vendors, for general construction services for projects in the amount of $600,000.00 (per Florida Statute 1013.45) or less and authorize the purchase of goods and services for an estimated annual amount of $2,400,000.00 using various funds.

 

This agenda also requests approval to amend the currently active contract; Board approved 05/06/2025, agenda item 25-2961 to allow the issuance of purchase orders for the remainder of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, in accordance with the applicable statutory spending thresholds for construction, renovation, remodeling, or maintenance of educational facilities.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.  Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
