Executive Summary
The Director of Maintenance, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board to approve the amendment to the piggyback of the Florida Department of Management Services, ITB NO. 21-25100000-21-STC for Motor Vehicles to award to multiple vendors and authorize the purchase of vehicles for an estimated annual amount of $500,000.00.
The purpose of this amendment is to include all the vendors that were awarded on the Florida State contract. The previous Board approval on January 10, 2023 (Agenda #23-1122) only included one vendor (Garber Ford). This approval will allow for the purchase of vehicles from any of the awarded dealerships on this contract, where vehicle inventory may be available.
The awarded vendors include: Alan Jay Chevrolet-Cadillac, Inc., Alan Jay Enterprises of Wauchula, Inc., Alan Jay Ford Lincoln Mercury, Inc., Alan Jay Nissan, Garber Chevrolet Buick GMC, Inc., Garber Ford, Inc., Gator Moto Utility Vehicles and More, LLC, Jeffrey-Allen, Inc., Step One Automotive FD CW, LLC, Step One Automotive Group, LLC, Step One Automotive HY BR, LLC, Tampa Truck Center, LLC, and Tropical Ford, Inc.
Hernando County School District Bid #22-070-30 PB RN has been assigned for internal purposes.

If expenditure is not currently budgeted, this will serve as the budget amendment when Board approved. If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District. Should the actual cost exceed the anticipated amount, the Board approves the additional cost, after review by the superintendent, but not in excess of the funds available in the site’s approved annual budget.
