body

Executive Summary

The Director of Student Services, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby presents the Antibullying Awareness Video for Secondary Schools Contest. The videos were required to address the issue of bullying and the importance of creating inclusive and safe environments for all. The theme was, “Be the difference: Speak Up Stand Strong, Stop Bullying!”

The winning video will be featured on the district website as well as school websites and presented at a school board meeting for recognition.

Video should contribute to raising awareness about bullying and cyberbullying and

creating a safe environment for all students. By promoting awareness, students,

teachers, and communities can better recognize the signs of bullying, intervene early,

and provide support to those affected. It also empowers bystanders to become

upstanders, encouraging them to take action when they witness bullying, whether in

person or online.

If the agenda item includes the purchase of goods or services, the funds requested are an anticipated amount and may fluctuate depending on such factors as current market conditions, product availability, additional funding sources, and the needs of the District.
