Executive Summary
The Director of Secondary Programs, on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools, hereby requests the Board approve the purchase of mathematics instructional materials from Cengage Learning. A review team consisting of instructional personnel from all schools and district support staff collaborated in the selection of the materials. Florida Statute 1006.28 requires districts to select and provide instructional materials aligned to the Florida Standards for all students. The 2021-2022 Mathematics adoption is aligned to the new B.E.S.T. standards as required by the Florida State Department of Education.

This is for Math for College Liberal Arts, a newly adopted course for the 2022-2023 school year. This is the bundle of print+digital. This is an "Off list" title, meaning that it was not bid as part of the state adoption process. No books were on the state adoption bid list for approval. This book comes at the recommendation of the editorial team at Cengage based on how it aligned with the FL course.
